It is an exciting time in China’s capital markets, with the government’s considering allowing the issuance of China Depository Receipts, listing of foreign-wholly owned ventures on the domestic A-share market and finalizing laws to allow foreigners to participate in the fund industry. With an ailing pension system and the need for Chinese people to find alternative sources of investment, securities brokerage and asset management is an area of keen interest for America’s financial industry.
