Acting Intensive with Yoshi Oida: Research on Movement & Voice, Based on Japanese Culture

Award-winning international film and stage actor Yoshi Oida leads a four-day intensive acting workshop featuring an exploration of the subtleties of naturalism and performance through scene work in pairs. A long-time collaborator of legendary director Peter Brook, Oida has also been featured in several films. This is a wonderful opportunity to enter into the world of this multi-faceted artist, his process and his craft.

Tickets for all 4 sessions: $325; $275 Japan Society members.

Max 16 people. Professional performance experience necessary. Teaching experience preferred.  Participants will be selected through resume submission.  E-mail resumes to [email protected] by September 15, 2006.  Japan Society will notify participants of acceptance by October 1, 2006.  Payment will be due upon registration.
