Left to right: Wendy Goldstein, Scott Minars, Lynn Shapiro Snyder, Michael Levine.

U.S. pharmaceutical, health care and other life sciences companies are increasingly seen as potential targets of acquisition, not only by stronger domestic competitors, but also by overseas rivals in Japan in particular. The relatively weak dollar and increased downside risk from the current global financial crisis have made U.S. firms attractive buys. Our industry experts examine recent industry deals involving Japanese firms and share demographic insights into the future of the U.S. health care industry. They identify high risk topics for pharmaceutical firms in health regulatory due diligence and discuss recent federal health care legislative activities that will affect M&A activities in the U.S. health care industry.
