This action-packed film noir provides a rare glimpse of the explosive postwar resentment Asians living Japan directed at their Pacific War enemies. Amamiya (played by real ex-yakuza, Ando), a war hero and a doctor, serves the slums targeted by a Korean-Japanese yakuza gang. The flashback structure hinges on a Korean patient whose life depends on the doctor…
