The Growth Strategy of Abenomics: An Inside View of the Third Arrow
Prime Minister Abe’s three arrows of Abenomics—bold monetary policy; flexible fiscal policy; and a growth strategy—have attracted much attention from all over the world. However, Abenomics’ test lies in its third arrow: a growth strategy to encourage private investment. How can Japan break free from two decades lost to stagnation and begin achieving real economic growth with Abenomics? In this program, Yasutoshi Nishimura, Senior Vice Minister for Economic and Fiscal Policy at the Cabinet Office, gives an inside view of the growth strategy, including its bold regulatory reforms. He also speaks about future policies on other issues, such as tax reform. Furthermore, a panel of experts will discuss Japan’s role and the impact of Abenomics on the global economy.
