
Exclusive Evening Tour of Ruth Asawa at MoMA
In partnership with MoMA Patrons, Japan Society Giving Circle members are invited to an exclusive evening tour of Ruth Asawa’s work at The Museum of Modern Art. This guided experience is led by MoMA curator Cara Manes who will lead an intimate exploration of Asawa’s innovative artistry and her lasting impact on modern art.
Dive into “Ruth Asawa: A Retrospective,” featuring approximately 300 artworks, including her iconic looped-wire sculptures, bronze casts, and calligraphic ink paintings. Gain insights into Asawa’s belief in the creative potential of simple materials and her commitment to community and arts education.
Join us to celebrate Asawa’s artistic legacy and explore her integrated approach to art and life.
